Rural Imaging Center Is Taking Aim At Medical Mistakes In Healthcare
CASS CITY, Michigan, December 21, 2004 –
Thumb MRI Center
is taking the initiative to decrease costly medical errors and increase
the quality of healthcare by integrating a patented artificial intelligence
technology developed by AIdentity
Matrix. In addition, a unique work
flow process is being developed at the Center to accommodate the
interactive technology.
The technology increases the quality of patient care by standardizing
and optimizing the work flow processes including accurate data reporting,
verifying patient safety questions, and cross validating the exams
between the radiologist and the intelligent software. This technology
is also capable of directing information processes to create a self-paced,
user friendly learning and skill development environment that will
give physicians and medical technologists direct and interactive
training and testing.
In response to the demand for higher quality testing, Thumb MRI
Center has replaced its MRI scanner with the High Field Vantage XGV
Short Bore scanner from Toshiba America Medical Systems. This system
provides the latest state of the art imaging techniques needed for
physicians to make consistent and confident diagnoses.
Many of the large insurance companies are looking at solutions to
decrease fraud and medical mistakes. With a joint effort between
American Diagnostic Medicine, AIdentity
Matrix, and Advanced Diagnostic
Imaging, a multi-specialty radiology group, Thumb MRI Center is able
to be proactive on decreasing medical mistakes and increasing the
quality of care for its patients. “Hopefully, this model will
be implemented to other medical centers and institutions nationwide,” says
Diane Ruhlman, Director of Thumb MRI Center.
